Day 8


Day 8- Feeling ok might have had a little piece of dark choc today!  I had a great pulled pork soup today.  Breakfast was 2 eggs and bacon form hotel, snack was a kind bar.  Oh ya I had a soy latte!  darn you Starbucks by the hotel only thing that helped the last two days is getting me on the toilet which was good. 

Monday WOD I went to Crossfit Sherwood Park- it was free as it just opened on Saturday.  Great gym went with a few people from Champ City Crossfit. 

warm-up
2 rounds of 50 double unders- I can't jump so did single skips
3-7 muscle ups did with a band just learnt that so super excited.
10-12 toes to bar.

Strength was 3 rounds
60 second strict pull ups
60 seconds rest
60 second strict handstand push-ups
60 seconds rest.

Wod was 15-12-9: 4:42
Hang Squat clean 95lbs I did hang clean and I can't squat
burpee's

Felt super good about the workout.  Off to Champ city tonight more upper body stuff.  I'm having a gun show later!  if you want to come check it out.  lol.

    Buckwheat cereal & coconut milk
    Pear

    Snack
    Blk coffee & banana

    Lunch -ate in cafeteria at work
    Cooked mixed veggies: carrots, broccoli, zuchinni, cauliflower
    Red potatoes (whoops a white starch !)
    3 bites of salmon. Had to get rid of it cause so dry!!

    Snack
    Celery sticks & red pepper with salsa!

    Dinner
    Zesty chicken & broccoli

    Crossing my fingers I make it through the night with no sweets!!!

  2. Thanks Tiff for keeping up on the journal!! You're doing great! Really you are!
    Sorry I've been absent. We just got our wi-fi hooked up!! Yeah! I was not digging typing on the virtual keyboard of my phone!! :(

    So my challenge is going great and to up the ante of not cheating....my husband has been going right along with me on the challenge, so i feel I can't let him down my "sneeking" sweets. Oh don't think I haven't tought about it!!! LOL!

    My breakfasts have been blueberry smoothy w/ banana and coconut milk and a protein such as bacon or sausage links. Got tired of the egg bake. Smoothies are fast for morning.

    Lunches have been leftover dinner from night before this week. So we had Sarah Fergosoes (sp?) Spicy rub burgers. The only sugar we have cheated was on the BBQ sauce I picked up for the pulled pork. It had minumial ingredients....like 5 and one of them was sugar.

    I'm feeling great though. Completed not bloated and I'm loving that!!
    Workouts this week have been ass kickers.

    Monday was:
    21-15-9
    Double KB cleans (35# each hand)
    Roman chair sit ups (double of the 21-15-9).

    Tuesday was a Hero...name has left me but was:
    4 rounds

    8 - 185# deadlift
    16 burpees
    3 rope climbs
    600mtr run

    Tonight was:
    4 rounds
    50 double unders
    5 gym laps of unloaded prowler
    5 Turkish getups (I used 45#)

    Dinner tonight was leftovers of spicy sausage and Sara's tip of dipping bell peppers in salsa. I will have a glass of coconut milk before bed.

  3. Day 14!!!! We r almost half way!!!! Traveling to Seattle today! Wish me luck on good decision making....not what is easiest.

  5. 10 more days left! I can't say i' ve been strict paleo the entire time. It was definitely better i was over the holidays and feel soooo much better. Unbloated!!
    Here are rhe cheats i had:
    Handful peanut M&M
    Beer in Seattle along with the beans & rice from Mexican meal.
    Fish n chip with clam chowder soup. Had to have while in Seattle.
    Couple pieces of cheese
    3 glasses of wine.

    Now that ive listed it all out. wOW! In my mind it wasn't alot but it was!!! Mmmmm. Its ok. I still made mindful choices that i wouldnt have before. So this wasnt a total lossand proud of what we have all done!
