I'm going to make an effort to blog daily and keep you updated.
Curry Coconut Chicken stir fry.
Cut up a 3-4 breast of chicken and heat in skillet with oil (coconut) and garlic.
Once starting to brown add the Curry more than you think.
Once the chicken is cooked add a package of mixed frozen veggies and one can of coconut milk.
Add more curry if you think it needs more flavour.
Simmer for 20 min so that all veggies get the flavour of the Curry.

This was tough with only 1.20 rest between sets, but todd and I rocked it.

10 to 1 for time
24Kg Kettle bell swing
Push Up burpees.
Mike told me under 7 minutes before I started- did it in 6:36 was super happy with that.

Ya, I've been a blogger slacker also!! Not a slacker in a gym however. Shane thinks I'm adddicted!!! So Shane gets the opportunity to come w/ me on Monday for 5 rounds of Fight Gone Bad. So excited for him to get to experience a crossfit workout!!! I'll keep you posted.

WOD:
As many reps as possible in 10 minutes:
Jump Rope Singles Only (you have to perform 3 push-up burpees everytime you break)
-had to do 51 Push up burpees and forgot to count singles (note: mental midget i am on this skip)

5 min rest
+
Airdyne as many miles as possible in 10 minutes:
You have to perform 10 air squats every minute beginning with the first minute
-3.07 miles
The skip was way harder than i gave it credit. Longest skip session was last 30 seconds. Feel mentally beat on the skip. Was trying to think to hard on timing is my thoughts.

Alright! I have been so bad at posting, but I am going to try to be more active. 2011 went out like a hurricane and have had a little clean up last week and still a little this week. But, I am looking forward to a little less stress, more workouts, and changing my life for good little by little.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I read all of your posts I feel very inspired. I am thinking of setting my alarm earlier so that I can get online and read them prior to heading to crossfit class in the morning. I know that will not happen, but maybe if I just read them before bed would be the best.
WOD for me was:
20 minutes or 10 rounds of:
10 - Clean and Jerks (65#)
10 - push up burpees
I only made it to 7 rounds, but I guess that is not bad for not having been in class for 4 weeks. I only ran or walked in those 4 weeks so my 65# clean and jerks kicked my A$$!

Tonight was the Fight Gone Bad (1/9). It was a blast and sucked all at the same time. LOL!! Shane was my buddy for the workout which was 5 rounds. Total reps was 413. I was proud of him for just being thrown in. He now knows his cardio reg. needs some work!!!!

So what is Fight Gone Bad (1/9)? I have never heard of this, please do explain.
ReplyDeleteApril i am not sure you want to know. Youtube it and you will see lots of people hurting and smiling at the same time. hehehe. Great work. I have only done that one once Jan 4/11. Did 3rnds for 234reps. Not sure i would have made it to 5. :)
