Always be yourself!


Hello Ladies!  Feels like forever and I see from the blog lots of activity, which is great to see. 
I love this post above and something  I have really been trying to think this daily.

Chili-as it should be!
1 ancho chili, dried
2 red chile peppers, dried
1/2 cup olive oil
1 pound of beef/chicken- in cubes
1 tablespoon cumin seed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 pound of ground beef or chicken
2 cups chopped onions
1/2 cup beef or chicken stock
28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
28 oz canned whole tomatoes
3-4 tablespoons tomato paste
4 cups bell peppers- chopped

1) place the dried ancho and dried peppers in a bowl to soak for at least 30 min.
2) add 1/4 cup of oil into large pot and get good an hot.  Take cube meat and brown in pot on all sides. Remove from pot and set to side.
3) combine remaining oil, cumin seeds, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, reconstituted peppers and chipotle peppers in the food processor and process for 30 seconds.
4) Return your large pot to medium heat, and brown ground beef/chicken. Once its browned add all spices and onions. Once onions are more cooked add stock.  Cook until stock reduces a bit.
5) add in both cans of tomatoes, paste and bell peppers and cooked cubs.
6) stir to mix all the ingredients and simmer for 1-2 hours.

**** if you don't want to stand over stove add everything to a slow cooker after step 4 and set on high.

    Row 30 minutes- 6436 meters and average 500 meters 2:19. My goal was to keep it under 2:20 p/500 meter.

    Tif's Sunday WOD- Group workout
    5 rounds
    100 double unders
    35 airsquats
    15 push-up burpees
    rest the time of the workout time.

    4. 3:37
    5. 3:32

    This workout was very hard. The first round I did the 100 double unders unbroken, but I think it was to much. Did all other rounds 50, 25, 25. Air quats and burpee's were tough. I don't think my lack of sleep and being up at 4 am every day since I have been back helps.

    3:24 - a quickie on my lunch hour! LOL!
    10 rounds 55/45
    One Arm KB Power Clean Right
    One Arm KB Front Squat Right
    One Arm KB Push Press Right
    One Arm KB Front Squat Right
    One Arm KB Push Press Right

    then switch hands….

    Both sides = 1 rnd

    SUNDAY at home WOD:
    150 burpees for time........we'll see if those get done.

    I had to many drinking last night, want to nap and Owen aint having it.......esh this is why I don't go out!! Sure had a good time though!!!!! :)

    Row as many meters as possible in 20 minutes - however, you have to perform 10 squats at the beginning of every minute (i.e. you start the workout with 10 squats)

    Legs are done!!

    Was a very fine weekend with my lady and my boy. I enjoy ever second with them both. Kael even told me i didn't look like Thor with my shirt off.....he said i looked like "Wolverine"!!!! I will take it. hahaha. Tiff just about had to cut the door jam a bit more so my head could fit through. :)

  4. Tif's Tuesday WOD

    A)Split Jerk 95lbs 3 x 5 sets- preps needed to be perfect.
    b)Hand Stand Pushups 1-10 sets every 45 seconds- when you fail that is it did 7 HSPU then failed. I am super pumped with that.

    c1)OverHead Squat temp 33x1 follow tempo 4-5 x 3 sets- did 75lbs-4, 75lbs-4, 75lbs-5
    c2) Rig Dips- AMAP x 3 sets did 4 each time

    d1)KBS- 32 Kg 7-10 x 3 sets and must be overhead. Did all 10 all three sets. That KB treated me like a rag doll.
    d2)Pushups AMAP in 20 seconds x 3- did 14, 12,12

    My arms are a bit sore, but my back and legs were sore from my Sunday workout.

    Off to Regina today.

    10 x 30 sec KB Swing/30 sec walk - keep the kb lite (i used 24kg)
    16/16/16/16/15/15/16/15/15/16 - reps for KBS
    +
    5 min rest
    +
    10 x 30 sec Airdyne @ 85%/30 sec EZ - 192 cal.
    +
    5 rounds for time:
    100 high knee jump rope
    5/arm turkish get-ups - tough (i used 20kg KB)
    Time: 24:51

    shoulders are done!!!

    This is a good combo of excersices. I made it tough by using the 20kg KB for Turkish Getups. These arms are just about not ready for that. Lot of time to grind through the Turkish Getups.

    My girl is off again, *sad face* but the world needs its Booster Juice. hehe see you soon babe.

    Kael and I will be picking Tiff up on Saturday morning after her very long adventure in Regina. My girl sounds beat up already and she has another day left.

    bad food intake last night. not good for burpee workout.
    need to improve sleep numbers at night.

    hard to sleep without my Tiffany. :(
